Petitions for freedom of Employment

We are now accepting new petitions on behalf of Palestinians who are prevented entry into Israeli by the Israeli Secret Service and Police. We will serve new petitions to the Israeli Supreme Court and the Israeli district court of Jerusalem More details will be published soon when we file the new cases.

Success in the Supreme Court

Following extensive legal proceedings in the Israeli Supreme court we successfully challenge the Israeli Secret Service and obtained the required evidence to overrule a

restriction of movement and employment of a Palestinian resident of the West Bank.

We are representing Israeli refuseniks who served time in 'Prison Six' (Confinement Base 396), for their refusal to serve in the Israeli army.

Contesting practices of Settler Factories in the West Bank

We have obtained evidence regarding human rights violations of Israeli factories in the West Bank and assisted in the compilation of an advisory opinion to be used in an international legal action.

We promoted Israeli refuseniks and dissidents internationally, enabling them to forge links with Palestinians and activists abroad, in order to bolster their efforts to oppose occupation and apartheid practices from within.

Visa to Europe

For over a year we advocated for and represented a Palestinian activist who was denied a Visa to Europe. In early September 2014 we appealed to the Italian Consulate in Jerusalem on his behalf. in early 2015 we joined forces to obtain the international support for his trip abroad which included a speaking tour about his activism. We consistently work in conjunction with him and his family to support his activism and non-violent resistance in the West Bank.

Supporting Ex-Prisoners

We represented three Palestinian ex-prisoners from the area of Hebron (Al-Khalil). We obtained evidence from the Israeli Military Court System regarding their cases so they can attain international recognition as political prisoners.

The IDF's new tool for tracking Palestinian protesters: Drones

Participants in the weekly protests against the separation wall in theWest Bank village of Bil’in were surprised Friday to find that the army was using a new tool to put down the demonstrations. For the first time, a small drone equipped with four propellors and a camera hovered above the protesters as they marched toward the wall and chanted slogans.

Self-defense patrols form in West Bank as PA fails to protect Palestinians

Since the settler firebombing that burned alive eighteen-month-old Ali Dawabshe and killed his father Sa’ad, Palestinians in Duma and other villages have formed night patrol groups to confront settler incursions. Unarmed, they have no means to repel settlers who have the full backing of the Israeli military.

Roundtable on Occupation Law: Part of the Conflict or Part of the Solution?

September 2011 marks a historic juncture in the struggle for Palestinian self-determination, as the Palestinian leadership approaches the United Nations with an application for membership into the community of nations as a state. This move is rife with potential implications, including a shift from bilateralism to multilateralism and an insistence on the applicability of international law. At its best, this would signal a welcome move away from the past two decades of bilateral negotiations, which have subjected non-negotiable rights as well as provisions of occupation law to political contestation. However, even this best-case scenario is neither guaranteed, as indicated by the lack of a more robust strategy on the part of the Palestinian leadership, nor necessarily optimal...
